Sword

My eyes filled with blood
I slash away
swung at armor and flesh
clashing with others
sparks flying
suddenly I am dropped
I lay unconscious
when I wake
all is silent
my body bloody
uncleaned
my friend and partner
no where to be seen
I'm all alone
unsheathed
unwielded
in rain and sun
for years to come
till another comes along
to wield my blade
to battle again.
